Space Seeds™ is a fun, engaging, affordable science experiment for classroom or individual use. Featuring seeds actually flown to space, Space Seeds™ allows you to compare how plants - grown from seeds subjected to the harsh environment of space - grow in comparison with normal seeds.
Each Space Seeds™ packet contains all you’ll need to conduct a wide range of experiments, including: • a pack of approximately 50 space-flown vegetable seeds • detailed instructions, suggested science experiments, a lesson plan for use in the classroom, links to supporting videos and websites • and a certification of space flight.
Our Space Seeds™ science experiment currently features Cherry Belle radish seeds flown to space on a variety of space vehicles. The certification of space flight that comes with the experiment packet you purchase details the exact spaceflight vehicle and conditions for your seeds.
We fly our experimental seeds on suborbital rockets launched by UP Aerospace, Blue Origin, and Exos Aerospace - on high altitude stratospheric balloon flights in partnership with companies like Arete Stem Project, Think Stratos, and Worldview - even to the International Space Station aboard Orbital Cygnus or SpaceX Dragon cargo launches!
Space Seeds™ is being distributed to thousands of classrooms in Finland in 2017 through our partnership with Space Nation, and will engage 100,000+ Finnish students this year!
Space Seeds™ is versatile and can be used by classrooms, home school students, science clubs, hobbyists and science enthusiasts.
