Edge of Space Helps Awty International School Lead the Way in STEM

Beginning in 2013, teachers and students at Awty International School in Houston helped pave the way for area schools to become participants in the emerging commercial space industry... and to help make Houston a leader in encouraging students to consider STEM careers by using the excitement of space flight to inspire science studies. Sponsored by a diverse group of commercial space companies and a NASA-funded nonprofit, Awty students in 4th, 5th, and 8th grade classes engineered and conducted a variety of space science experiments. Edge of Space Heads for the ISS

Edge of Space at NSRC

Edge of Space was an active participant at the 2016 Next-Generation Suborbital Researchers Conference, held June 2-4 in Broomfield, CO.  Our highlight of the conference:  New and extended partnerships with suborbital launch providers that will result in 6 new space flights for EOS payloads over the next 18 months!  Among the companies we will engage for these flights: Arete STEM Project (2 flights, with the first taking place before the end of July) Blue Origin Worldview Exos Aerospace We're planning to fly high profile STEM education, commercial, and biomedical payloads.
